Wolfram & Hart were in turmoil. A Charity dinner and dance. Many of the more evil employees said it was against the mission statement. A memo telling them that any absentees would be noted did not go unhindered.
Lorne was organising it, but Gunn smiled. This was for Anne, another scheme to make money to help her in her cause. He might be a big shot lawyer now, but he knew his roots, and who helped the people who were easy prey. Part of him was still fighting for the underprivileged. Anne would get the money she needed from Evil.
Angelus was feeding on the last man in the village, the elder. He had kept him till last as Darla and he had totally decimated all the people before his eyes. Some Angelus had played with, after all he was well fed, and a little sport was called for.
The poor fishing village wouldn’t be missed, not with so many leaving to go to the industrial cities. Leaving the healthy country to struggle in the squalor and depravity they found there. Really they were doing them a favour, it was a charity to die a reasonably quick death to vampires.
Buffy confronted Giles.
“So, Andrew, working for the Council. You offered Andrew a job with the council,” she demanded.#
“Well, Buffy, you must understand. Almost everyone who worked for the council have died. The First killed so many. Andrew has experience of the supernatural, and some magic ability. He could be useful.”
“I know he went into the High School with us, but really, what can he do?”
“I believe he has talents that could be used.”
“He is a charity case Giles, offered this because he was there at the end of Sunnydale. Just keep him away from me.”

Ok... Angelus logic... is chilling!
Loved all three very much honey! And I really can't say I blame Buffy for confronting Giles about Andrew. He's not the best choice imho.

I agree, Andrew is not a good choice, one of the items in the Season 8 comic that I cannot see.
Thank You my sweetness!
