Oh I wouldn't read this fic as your first Merlin fic. It is pretty sad, especially if you are an Aurthur fan. The Fairy Tale is quite sad as well.

It's really good, but does have a major character death, so not the best to start with!

Thank you again for your kind words, hon. :)

I teared up over the original tale as it was, before even overlapping the story with the fandom. So, yeah, a bit sad. I'd arm myself with some fluffy fics beforehand, too. I'm still in a bit of a mood from Torchwood. (I watched all in one go after avoiding spoilers the entire week. Ugh. Need. Fluff.)

It was wonderful. A lot of Oscar Wilde's Fairy Tales were a little sad, but usually had a point to them. One of the reasons I like them so much, they are also for adults.

Yes, Torchwood was sad, but some of the best TV this year.

Agreed. RTD tore my heart out, stomped on it for a bit, but I liked it. Anything that gets you talking, gets you to feel this strongly about a programme (good or bad), is a sucess, imo.

Oh yes, Torchwood grew up, and it was very well done. 5hours of excellent drama by the BBC. I understand why peoples feeling are running high, but it was past the watershed, and we should be old enough to accept this type of storyline.
