So what did Professer Lesley Ragan find we should put in our shopping trollies. She investigated the claims of two disinfectents, cleaners and soap poweders. Both Anti-bactorial and low tempture washes. The are both worth buying, but one leading brand is not better than another, really.

Now for food. Anti_cholosterol does work, but so does the tables your doctor would give you. So if you will be using the products every day, then go ahead, if not, then just keep taking the tablets. No point in taking both.

The superfoods? All those fruit and veggies with vits and mins that are so good for you? Take them, but your body will only take out of the food stuff what it needs. I will not cure anything.

Unproven was the anti-toxiants. For some people it seemed to give a benifit, but for others increased harmful bacteria. It is a personal thing.

Organic was a difficult item. For me, I am still going to buy organic eggs at least. They had it as unproven, if you care about animal walfare it is a moral choice as to which you think is doing what is right by amimals. Think I will make my decisions based on that.

So how to tell? If it says "Proven" then science has proven it, it is not an empty claim. Adverts have been withdrawn for making promises or alarming claims which they cannot live up to. If is says could, or any other hazy claim without the science to back it up, generally not worth the extra money!
