Well what to say!
Ok, so they upped there game
Plus
Better acting than ever before
Better writing
Tightened up the plot
Took the difficult decisions, "The needs of the many out weigh the needs of the few". Prime directive. Even if it is a child.
Minus
Usual thing of killing the main love interest
Left Torchwood in limbo as to where it can go next, if anywhere.
On the whole good, but as a send off....oh dear!
I think RTD has his eye on the main prize, cracking America, and is only to happy to burn his bridges in the UK. I feel that was a bit short sighted. He has a name in Britian, while he is starting from scratch in the US. I doubt what he has done in Britain will count for much.
This season felt like a swan song, where everyone gave their all, but will have very little reward for it.
Ok, so Jack has his wriststrap back, so maybe he meets Captain John again, and they can tour the galaxies together, suriving as best they can together.
Oh slight spoilers of course!
