Moan!

I just don't see the point of Twitter, and I really don't see the point of posting it to your LJ journal. It is like a one sided conversation taking place on your friends list. As annoying as someone using a moble phone within earshot. I had no idea of the context that the whole twitter is in.

Its fine if you use an lj-cut, that way I can just pass by.

I guess I just will not be twittering at all. No matter what celebs I might be able to be friended to. I've done the whole joining things because it is popular or because LJ has some issue. I joined MySpace, and used it for a week, got a greatest journal, which I deleted, but have heard it has gone down, and now have insane journal, which I never use. Unless something happens to LJ.

Never got a facebook, and don't intend to get a Twitter either. LJ is my home.

.................

I'm really looking forward to Sunday and the responses to the challenge. I think there will be some great reading/viewing. I do have an idea myself! Whoo Hoo! Thank You whomever, I can take part in my own challenge

...........

Went to bed early, so of course I'm up early. Why is it when the really good dreams get to the Really Really good bit, you wake up?

........
OMG, OMG, OMG! I let Ronnie borrow my "Good Omens". Scream! I'm without my book!

I had been raving to him about it, and left it on the couch, next to where he sat down. He picked it up, and had a glance through it. *Deep Breath*, it's ok. It is Ronnie, you have let him borrow books before and got them back just as you gave them to him. He always gives them back!

*Panics*

.......

Another Edit! Oh Ronnie and David watchng "You're Welcome" and "Fresh Blood". Well Ronnie loved them both, but David found "You're Welcome" too difficult to follow, and went off to the garage to get a quote. He asked when we were going to have something to eat, and came back five minutes before we did, missing both episodes.

He did recognise Spike in You're Welcome, but didn't remember his name! *head desk*

I heartily agree. I do not get the idea of posting twits to LJ. They are annoying me more and more as more of my friends are doing it. In fact one night a few weeks ago I wrote out an entry basically saying.... "filter me out of your twitter posts". And then didn't post it because I was afraid I'd come off sounding bitchy.

But I'm glad it's not just me.

As annoying as someone using a moble phone within earshot. I had no idea of the context that the whole twitter is in. I completely agree. I don't get the need for little popcorn communications of 145 words or whatever it is. Really, what is the point. Is it some sort of behavioural stimulus/response? Press a button and get a pellet of response from someone? Little addictive rewards that someone's paying attention though there's no real content to the communication, just a little reward buzz of attention.

I am completely with you on the twitter thing. I don't see the point, and it pisses me off when people continuously post it in their journal, like it is going to mean something to the rest of us.

LJ is my home as well. :D No myspace or facebook for me.

I love my LJs, they are top of my list.
I am really beginning to like my Facebook, not as much as LJ though.
I use Twitter but at the request of, and only for, one person.
But....I cannot see any point in posting the tweets to your LJ. They make no sense, they are very very short and ...well..they just make no sense.

Its bloody annoying to see on your flist and yeah, they are getting longer.

Good Omens is such a good book!

I don't get Twitter, I hate Facebook, MySpace hates me...if not for LJ, I might have to make friends with people I've actually met.

I agree about Twitter - thank goodness my flist are sensible enough to cut their twitterings!!

[identity profile] petzipellepingo.livejournal.com 2009-03-07 09:46 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I have about enough time for LJ - anything else is just shiny and new and I don't need more toys in my life.

I have Twitter and I NEVER post my twitter to LJ!

They are both different entities altogether and should not be put together.

It's insane!

And a few of my flist have started doing it now and it is driving me insane. I hate it. It's so pointless and if I am following them on Twitter anyway why do I need to read it twice?

And if I am not following them on Twitter it's cos I don't bloody want to!

*ug!*

You and me both.

I absolutely agree about Twitter, even though I've got one. Same with Facebook.

I have a facebook account but seriously, it's nothing great. I took a loot at Twitter but I don't like it and I don't understand his meaning *.*

[identity profile] kros-21.livejournal.com 2009-03-07 02:00 pm (UTC)(link)
honestly?
I hate Twitter so much!
and I skip all the entrys in LJ that are made with that... because honestly? what am I supposed to reply to it? O_o

I tried My Space because [livejournal.com profile] edenskye wanted me to, but it bored me to tears. I canceled it. I have a profile on Flixster, but it drives me crazy. It freezes and I get messages from strange men and women wanting to hook up. It's a movie review site and not a dating site. I seldom even check it for messages anymore. It has lots of trolls and freezes up too often. Several of my friends there are on LJ so I just talk to them here now instead. Twitter and facebook don't even interest me.

I loved the episode of "You're Welcome". The scene in the hallway between Cordy, Angel and Spike was awesome. I love when actors show up on other shows like Mercedes McNab did on "Fresh Blood". [livejournal.com profile] edenskye and I are always seeing an actor we know and trying to figure out what show we know them from. Lots of BTVS/ATS actors are on Supernatural and other shows. Saw Adam Baldwin on Bones DVD last week and squealed.

I guard my books like crazy and hate to lend them out. Their like my babies and I don't like to share. I still need to find a copy of "Good Omens" to read. *Puts that on list to find on Amazon*

I have Twitter account but I've never got in it because I don't know how to use it and what for?
:P
Seriously, so why do I have an account???
My friend asked to do a test for her so I created my account just because of that lol

[identity profile] shannon730.livejournal.com 2009-03-07 07:53 pm (UTC)(link)
twitter is not supposed to have the big conversations that it has at times. It's meant to be only short sentences of what you're doing right now. I have an acccunt but only use it if I'm away from home for too long. or extremely bored because I can do twitter from my phone.,

[identity profile] sophisti-girl.livejournal.com 2009-03-07 10:50 pm (UTC)(link)
LOL! I find it hysterical that on my flist right under your post about the absurdity of Twitter there is a post from somebody showing their tweets. I really don't get the Twitter phenomenon.

People are posting their Twitter posts to LJ? Why? I don't blame you for being annoyed.

I just had a friend ask me to join Twitter but I turned her down. I don't have time for something like that. I already have plenty to keep up with at LJ/IJ, and Twitter is so content-free.
