Ok, thinking of posting a question at
buffyversemeta, but unsure how to word it. It is often protrayed that Anya is "Saved", and after she dies, goes to heaven. This despite the fact that for over 1,000 years she was a vengeance demon, causing pain and hurt to many, for the sake of scorned women, and was shown in "Beneath You", maybe even the death of the scorned woman in question, if the wish was not worded correctly.
Unlike either Angel or Spike, she does not go to any self-sacrificing levels to atone, but Angel and Spike are thought to still be fighting for redemption, but not Anya. Why Not?
So how should I word this that it doesn't sound like an essay in itself?
ETA would it be too biased to say is she just to selfish, self-serving and self-absorbed to have any regrets about her own actions?
