Oh Dear!

David must be the most indecisive man in creation. Yesterday he went to his Uncle's funeral in Rothsay on the Isle of Bute. His Uncle was ill for a while, and had been in hospital for a few months. He was 92, so the family had been expecting him to pass on for a while now.

I had encouraged him to go, and take his car over as well. It is expensive to take a car over to the islands on the ferry service, but he is expecting an inheritance from the sale of his Uncle's flat, and I pointed out that would more than cover it. The family all got on well, and it was a good send of for the Uncle. He was a Church of Scotland Minister, and some of the other Ministers who remembered him spoke about his time with them. He has a rather nice plot to be buried into as well. It overlooks Arran, across the water.

David then phoned me to ask if he could come and see me, to miss the rush hour in Glasgow. That sounded reasonable, as it was about 4 o'clock. I thought he was back on the mainland.

About 1 hour and 15 minutes he phones back to say he is on his way, that was 5:15pm. I pointed out to him that if he drove home at that point he would miss the rush hour in Glasgow, but if he came here, he would be in the middle of a rush hour in Dumbarton, with everyone who works in Glasgow coming home.

I also pointed out that I didn't want him staying late. In fact I had intended for him to leave at 7pm. Which would've meant he was only here for half an hour, and was it worth it. He kind of went round in circles after that, so I asked him what he wanted to do. He took so long answering that I just said he might as well go home.

Today he phoned, we see each other every Saturday, to say he was going into Glasgow. I asked him to get the ingredients for one of our favourite meals. Start of him asking what he should buy, and what should he buy if they didn't have certain things.

In the end I asked him if he wanted that meal, to go out for a meal, Pasta or something else. Of course he has no idea. So I guess it will be up to me, at least I get what I want.

And my comics haven't arrived yet! Damn postal strike. I just hope it has got as far as the local sorting office.

ETA Yesterday I was not getting my replies to posts, now my main e-mail keeps getting errors! Communication problems or what!

For everyone on my flist who wants to follow Angel: After the Fall, but hasn't read Spike: Asylum or Spike: Shadow Puppets, I would like to introduce the "new" character you will be meeting in the comic.
