Summary: When rich boy Jensen Ackles decided to get out from under his father's thumb and run away from home he didn't expect to be robbed in broad daylight, mistaken for a hooker, beaten up by a tattooed maniac and have his life saved by a really cute street kid. All in one day.
Jared Padalecki on the other hand didn't expect to be thrown in jail for his trouble.
As love stories go, this one didn't exactly have the best beginning.
My comments: I actually missed the part where she said it was a modern version of Disney's Aladdin and you shouldn't let that put you off at all. It's just a really well told story

My Comments: Love it, very well written, and a great read.

Title: A Devil to Help Me Get Things Right

Summary: It was in moments like this that Jensen knew that they would be together forever. Nothing would or could break them apart. Jensen was wrong. At 19 he was in love with Jared, full of plans and hopes for their future. He didn’t count on dropping out of college and driving Jared away with cheating and drinking being part of them. At 30 Jensen wakes up with retrograde amnesia, his last memories of being 19 and happy. As he struggles to regain his memory and find out who he is, Jensen has to face the harsh truths of who he became and how he treated Jared. Determined not to make the same mistakes again, Jensen starts to get his life back on track and try to win an engaged and angry Jared back.
My comments: This could have been really twee but it's actually a nice and realistic look at someone suffering from amnesia.

Reason for reading: Utterly adorable, start to finish, and very well written, to boot. A good reminder that physical perfection doesn't equal lovable. We laugh, cheer for Jensen to get to his goals, and love Jared because he can see beyond the flab. I can relate - everyone can.

My Comments: I have reread this so often I have it off by heart, and still love it. It maybe the reason I've taken up yoga again!

As their friendship grows, their attraction to one another does as well, despite Jensen's struggles with his sexuality. Jared and Jensen learn each other and about the hardships of life and love all under the blistering heat of the Texas sun.

My Comments: A lovely look at the developing relationship between to young people over the course of a Summer, working with horses, and each other. Great read, with excellent characters.

Worried

I'm just a bit worried about what has happened during Season Four of Supernatural. We have seen the little brother that Dean wants, and it is no longer Sam, not to say that he doesn't still love Sam, and will move heaven and hell for him, just not the ideal.

While with Castiel, he has been a blank sheet to begin with, devoid of human emotions and cut off. As the season progressed he slowly began to experience human contact, mostly Dean, who he does things heaven doesn't like for. On top of that, a lot of fans seem to like him, while there has been a rise in character bashing of Sam. We are not getting Sam's POV at all in the series, and he is losing sympathy because of it. It seems EK and the other writers have isolated Sam.

I really don't want Sam to be Lucifers vessel, but I can see it coming. So his character is pushed it one side, while we get more Dean and Castiel.
