Darla’s strengths are her position as The Master’s favourite in the Order of Aurelius, she was sired in 1609 (Darla), and staked by Angel in 1997 (Angel), making her 388, thus an older vampire. She has allure, and is able to use her sexuality to manipulate.
As head of a strong vampire family, she enjoyed the fame brought to her by the younger members of the Scourge of Europe, boasting to The Master in 1760 about Angelus’ exploits. Having sired Liam to be her companion in her travels around the world, she left The Master’s lair with him. While Angelus sired more members of the family, she never did, content in her creation of him.
In 1898, she lost her Dear Boy, when he was cursed with a soul after he killed a young Kalderash gypsy girl. She tried to get the gypsies to reverse the curse, but didn’t, Drusilla and Spike then went on to kill the whole clan, while Angelus became Angel.
She continued to travel with the family of Drusilla and Spike, until, in 1900 Angel appeared and she took him back. When Angel tried to save a missionary family, and ran off with the baby, they only met intermittently after that Budapest at the turn of the century. Later she arrives in Sunnydale, where The Master is trapped, and rejoins the Order, and reclaims her position as The Master’s favourite.
Although a dangerous vampire in her own right, she always surrounds herself with other strong family members.
Her main weakness is over estimating her self. This led to Angel staking her in 1997, and thinking she could give Angel a moment of perfect happiness, thus taking away his soul. She failed, but became pregnant, finally staking herself in 2001, after being brought back to earth human by W&H then sired by Drusilla in 2000.

Drusilla was sired in 1860 by Angelus. After Angelus drove her insane and turned her, she travelled with the family of Darla and Angelus around the world. She takes delight in calling everyone by family names such a Darla becomes grand mummy, and Angelus Daddy. Becoming bored with being left out as Angelus can only see Darla, she sired William as a companion or playmate for herself.
She has a twisted mind, and her speech patterns are fanciful, but has the gift of sight from her human years, warning Angelus in 1998 that Jenny is going to re-ensoul him (Passion), Angelus kills Jenny to stop this happening.
She also has the gift of trall, which leads to her killing a slayer (Kendra) in Becoming Part 1. A beautiful face, and lovely figure, with a deceptive hint of vulnerability, she can easily attract prey. Although she will kill adults, she does have a taste for children. She is also very keen on the idea of family, and likes to have companionship. After Spike turned against Angelus and took Drusilla away with him, she turned on him, and they eventually split up.
She arrived in LA in time to sire Darla, and they went on a bloody rampage. Darla and Drusilla planned to gather forces, but are over come by Angel, who attempts to set them on fire. They survive, but Darla and Drusilla split up, Drusilla heading for Sunnydale to reclaim Spike, but is unsuccessful.
Her biggest weakness is her insanity, while the sight is useful, it can sometimes be difficult to decipher because of her speech patterns.
