From the Torchwood Magazine interview with James Marsters

What are you reading?

I'm reading a book called The End Of America by Naomi Wolf, which postulates that there are ten steps for turning a free and open society into a fascist state, and argues that the George Bush administration is apparently following it to the letter. It's a very scary book - areal eye opener. I'm an Obama man myself, though I think Hilary Clinton is a wonderful senator. Barack Obama is just composed of inspiration! If the Democrats don't win the next election, I will probably apply for citizenship in the UK.

I'm sorry, but now, I don't want Barack Obama to win. The world might go to hell in a handbasket if he doesn't, but at least James would be in the UK! Ok Ok if I was American I would vote for him, but I want James to emigrate!

Now my confession!

My name is Donna, and I'm a very BAD Non-Dr Who fan!

I'm 48, but didn't start watching Dr Who until Jon Pertwee the 3rd Doctor. Family commitments at the time taking me away from the TV at the time Dr Who was on. I watched the Dr #3, #4 and #5, all of them. Then I met Michael, and my weekends were full, with not enough time to watch the TV.

I heard there were things going on with Dr Who, but didn't take much interest. It was confined to my youth by that time, and Television and Special effects had left it far behind.

Then Dr Who came back, with Christopher Eccleston as the Dr. I didn't watch. I knew it would be a waste of a regeneration with him, and he wouldn't stick around. I went off Christopher Eccleston because of interviews he gave when he was in "Our Friends In The North" dissing his fellow actors, and acting far to big for his boots.

Billie Piper seemed nice enough, but I was in no hurry to see anything she was in. She seemed to have an almost childish charm, which didn't work on me. So I didn't watch Season One of the new Dr Who. Except the one with the Dareks, cos David looked like a kicked puppy when I said I didn't want to watch it. Totally unimpressed!

Then David Tennent took over, and I let David watch. I saw bits of it, but was on the computer while he watched. It was only when Martha took over as the companion that I did watch, but only when David was here.

Now with Donna, I am watching every week. What will happen when Donna leaves I do not know.

Oh well, as I said, never gonna be the biggest fan, and I think the DVD's are a rip off. Then if I can get a complete series of Supernatual for 17.99 on pre-order, I guess that is what I expect for Dr Who, and Torchwood as well, with their short seasons!

Sorry meant to ask, what is CCTV called in America? Is it CCTV? The surveyance cameras in high streets and such areas?
