The brothers had to admit their relationship had changed.
For Sam it had been four months, trying everything he could think of to get Dean out of hell, bring him back. Working with Ruby, using his powers.
For Dean it had been forty years in hell. For ten years he had been the one doing the torturing. He was no longer the man who made a deal to save his brother.
As they tried to work together again, it seemed they were growing further apart. What made them good, gave them the strength to save people slipping away from them.
