If say I made a private post on the 13th, when I had some time on my hands, but wanted to make it public on the 17th, I should just be able to go back and edit it and change the date, right? I have never tried doing anything like that, but I will be a bit scrapped for time on the 17th, so Will It Work Please!

Thank You, yes maybe I will just try it!!! Worse that can happen is it doesn't work!

it's a software you install on your PC and use for posting
I use semagic:

it's very easy to use and *much* better than posting in IE or other browser

I've actually had trouble with that. I kept a fic private because I wasn't too happy with it and then made it public later, changing the date, but turns out it never showed up on people's flist. So I had to copy and paste it into a new post and then delete the old one. Could have been a glitch, I don't know.
