I was considering doing a sort ficlet on the curcumstances surrounding Cecily deciding to become a vengence demon (or as she called herself a Justice Demon), but would like to know what everyone else sees as the timeline.

Joss said that Halfrek and Antanka where together during the Russian Revolution because he wanted to show that Cecily was Halfrek post the events in "Fool for Love". Which would mean that she was human, and in LMPTM Miss Underwood is part of a family Anne, Spikes mother seems to know about. Indeed she says she is "lovely".

The comic "Old Times" hinges on Cecily being Halfrek at the time of "Fool for Love". I know that the comic is not cannon, but would anyone be confused if I made her post Cecily Underwood when D'Hoffern offers her the position?

In one of the episodes Halfrek says to Anya that she witnessed the Crimean War - 1854 to 1856 - which would make her Halfrek posing as Cecily during Fool For Love.

Personally, however, I love those stories that "ignore" part of canon and say "what if?". Write the story - I'm sure it will be great!

Thanks I thought I saw an episode where they were talking and it pre-dated 1880, Season 7, in the cafe. Ummmm....well, the main theme of the story would still stay the same I guess no matter what time-line I gave it, but was going to go post 1880! Oh the horrors of cannon! It never stays the same.

Will write it soon, have to do next part of untouchable first....then a little flight of fancy with Halfrek.

I personally like and go for Cecily being Halfrek all along, but I don't mind a post-ripping-Will's-heart-out Halfrek. Whatever floats your boat.

I wanted to do it set in Victorian times, so post 1880 would be best for me!

Thank You.

I wouldn't worry about the was she wasn't she during the William period. I tend to ignore what the comics say, belonging to the 'if it didn't appear on screen, it's not cannon camp. But she wouldn't have called herself a 'justice demon' until well into the 1990s, and no way was William's surname 'Pratt'.

Oh I hate that surname! Another example of Joss trying to ruin the character! I posted elsewhere, it is seems to be that there are so many loopholes in the character, I should go with whatever suits my story! Gonna do that. *happy sigh*

Thank You!

The Crimean War issue mentioned previously would seem to be the cannon reference to pin your timeline on, but as also previously pointed out, as the writer you can do whatever makes your story work best! I think this is a great idea, though. Go for it!

Thank You, I think I will keep her human in 1880, then work on her doing something to attrack D'Hoffryn's attention after that!
