Supernatural 4:03

Watched it this morning, then watched "What Is And What Should Never Be" with Ronnie this afternoon, those two episodes in one day can do your head in! Anyway.....
Very Sam light this episode, and Sam seems to be doing more and more without Dean. Then that might be expected after hunting alone (or with Ruby), for four months, even if you don't count the six months during Mystery Spot.
So our friendly (?) neighbourhood Angel sends Dean back in time to meet his parents before they got married. First point, really young John and Mary didn't look much like their older versions.
Dean encourages his dad to buy the car when he went for a van. Guess that throws comic canon out the window. So means I put up with some of the worse artwork ever for nothing.
Mary and her father are hunters, but Mary wants out. Grandpappy Samuel doesn't like John (seems he doesn't like anyone to be honest), and they find out that the YED is in town. Dean of course tries to kill it to save his family. He goes off to steal the colt.
The demon is in town making deals (then why did he need someone, or something else to make the deal with John in My Time Of Dying?), and ends up possessing Grandpappy, killing him and Grandmammy, and finishing off by killing John. YET ANOTHER deal is made to bring someone back from the dead, as Mary agrees to the deal to save John. This explains how she knew the demon in the pilot and why she said she was sorry to Sam in Home.
It seems Dean has been brought back by the Angel to save Sam, and if he cannot.....They will take action threat much.
Was an OK episode, would never be one of my favourites as there where no brother moments in it, and they are always the ones I really like. I mean I love A Very Supernatural Christmas for Sam giving Dean the necklace, and the christmas he wants. Then it did give a few pay-offs for those of us who have been watching from the beginning.
