Well David has phoned back. He seems fine now, we had a very noisey line, and it was a bit hard for him to hear me. He was at The Balloch Hotel, not far from me, and it was busy. He isn't driving at present, which is a good thing, as he has gone quite high. He is getting some sleep, but not really enough. I just hope he can manage to stay out of hospital.

I have been mulling this over for a while. I do think that Castiel is an Angel, it is just the type of Angel. I have been doubtful about him since we saw his wings were black. I thought that was some sort of clue. Now I an just as sure that his name is as well.

I firmly belive that his has full Angel powers, but his name....Castiel, Cas, or could that be Cast, as in Cast out. Could he possibly be a Fallen Angel? In which case is he leading Dean a merry dance, can we really trust him?

It makes it all very interesting.

I will wait and see if he really is an Angel of God, or a Fallen Angel.

Please keep your fingers crossed that David will be well soon, and that he will recover, with the help of the tablets, without intervention!

I hope things will turn out good for David *is sending good thoughts*

Concerning Castiel: I think the whole burning out the eyes of actually good guys showed that he's not really a nice guy.

I hope he's not some kind of fallen Angel, but rather that the whole Angel fraction isn't exactly good in human terms.

I think they're working on an interesting symmetry here. Ruby is evil, but for a demon she seems to be pretty human.

Castiel is on the other hand is on the side of light, but probably so lawful good that he's even worse, because he has no compassion left.

Thank You, I am trying to support David, but it is a difficult time! The good thoughts are really appreciated!

Looks like it could be an intersting season so far. Not sure it will be a favourite of mine at present, but shaping up well. Lots of gray areas to explore!

I don't think those were his wings, but only the shadow of them.

I think they'll be more to him than meets the eye or he'll ask Dean do things that he won;t like, but I believe he is what he says he is.

Could be shadows I guess, just that they were black didn't seem "right" for me, and made me doubtful!

Will be interesting to find out.

He is probably an angel of some sort, considering how afraid of him all the demons seem to be. Nevertheless, I am fairly certain that he will eventually turn out to be a bad guy. Have you ever read the Hellblazer comics? These comics, which Kripke has acknowledged as an influence, have morally questionable and even evil angels in them, and the movie Constantine, which is based on the comics, has the Archangel Gabriel as the main villain. I think Castiel's appearance and activities put him more into this category. Time, however, will tell.

No I haven't, they sound good, might try and get them.

I'm pretty sure he is going to be a bad guy. The demons are too easy to dispose of at present, he would be a challenge!

Yes, that is also a good point!

I think you'd like Hellblazer. The world it sets up is very similar to Supernatural in that it is a world where monsters and the paranormal are everywhere behind the scenes but hidden so only a few initiated people can interact with that world. The main character, John Constantine, (played by Keanu Reeves in the movie) is a sort of mediator between the normal and paranormal worlds. Often the ghosts of the people he couldn't save or that died because of him follow him around.

It does sound interesting. Might ask my comic book supplier about it when I phone. See if they can get it for me.
