Hm, I just can't picture Castiel with anyone from Buffy...or anyone, for that matter. I can understand where people can ship Castiel/Dean, though it doesn't do anything for me. But it will be interesting to see the different suggestions, and why they might work. I'm always curious about why people pick a particular pairing, not just, "they'd look hot together naked". Not that it isn't a valid reason to write a story, but I kind of prefer reading the stories that explore the reasons two specific people are drawn to each other.
No, I haven't voted on this either myself. I see Castiel as to aloof to be in a pairing with a human. Yes he could care about them, but not in that way. Which is why I don't read that sort of fic with him in that myself. I'm just interested in what others think myself
I just kept coming back to Dawn. She IS an otherworldy creature just like he is and I'd love to see Castiel bring that out in her and make her more complex.
I always skip the slash section. I just don't *do* slash, for the most part. I have a problem changing the sexual orientation of characters, which is part of why I didn't pick Willow in the first section. If she weren't gay I'd see her primarily with Castiel, but she is. I guess I'm a hopeless canon slave.
My opinion, though. I don't judge other people's choices by my own. Just trying to expand on my answer.
Dawn is an interesting choice, and they would have quite the dynamic. Dawn being the hormonal teenager, and Castiel being slightly detacted.
Well with Willow it could be argued that she is bi, from her time with Oz, but her soulmate or whatever is Tara. If you accept bisexuality as an option.
I need some Sam, Dean and Bobby as well. But I wish the boys had stayed back to help Bobby, he is always there for them, they should be there for him when he needs it.

Date: 2009-09-15 04:35 pm (UTC)I could easily accept that, but only if it was presented to us in canon (and I accept the recent Buffy, Spike, and Angel comics as canon to a degree)
For me, though, the last thing Willow called herself was gay and that's the way my tiny shipper heart will flow until she says otherwise.
*whimper* Why isn't it Thursday yet?!?!?! I needs me some more Sam, Dean and Bobby!!!
