frimfram was asking if anyone wanted to join an open day either now or in Spring. The idea is that you take 10 pictures where you live, or the surrounding area, and post them on your LJ.

I said I would do it if I could include Balloch. Dont think I could find 10 interesting things to post about Dumbarton.
1) Dumbarton Castle on Dumbarton Rock, Queen Mary Stuart spent a night there waiting for the boat to take her to France
2) Levengrove Park, formal garden
3) Beach
4) Library building given go us by Carnagie
5) Glencarin House, plaque to Robert Burns when he spent a night there
Well that is it, the list of the only interesting things in Dumbarton, so I still need another 5. Was thinking Balloch as it is just up the road. As you may have noticed everyone only spends one night in Dumbarton then high tails it out!
