It is a New Year, and fanfic writers have got something else to get worked up about. As someone has been archiving fic, and translating it into Italian as well. While I can see why some writers wouldn't want anyone archiving their fic without permission, or, as some writers clearly state in their headers, at all, I'm kinda on the fence about it.

When I first entered into the fandom I started writing "Truthful Angel". Lovely Luba at The Crypt asked if she could archive it, and I was pleased as punch. My favourite site wanted to host my fic. Colour me delighted.

I googled the title later and found that someone else was archiving it as well. So of course I went over to check it out. At that time I wrote under my Yahoo name of donnaredmasters, but I found this other site had given someone else the credit for my story. This other person was totally innocent of anything and was as surprised as me when I posted a message on the Yahoo site. We all had as good laugh about it, and that was it. So from personal experience, I find it difficult to get worked up about it. And in fact if anyone took the time and effort to translate one of my little stories, I would be over the moon.

I finally shook of the seasonal depression and lack of concentration long enough to do the archive at noel_of_spike, wow 70 posts, all displaying such talent! If you are not a member, you really should dash over, everything is in memories and tags! Have a look at the talent it is outstanding.

I got an email with a vitual card from just_sue, and a sprig of misletoe from sexymermaid, so did make me feel more seasonal! Just!

I am becoming the original Scrooge at christmas. Have been cursing David up side down for inviting himself over on Christmas day, and now I will have to make a meal with all the trimmings. He is also a Marks and Spencer fanatic. I find them a bit over rated, and really a lot of their food I don't like. Oh well, comes but once a year I guess (thank you God).

Oh I'm also supposed to do some fic on the 24th, but the only thing I have come up with is Angel and Spike with Whisler discussing the change in the balance between good and evil, and the impliacations to the dynamic of the Oracles gone, the Senior Partners gone from this dimension and all the activated slayers.....Yes I am yawning as well! Should say the fic is for a yahoo group, and should have slash in it, just not happening just now.
