spikeshunny and I discussed having a challenge at fluffy_spike as we have 100 members. The details of the challenge is here if anyone wants to check it out!

First part will be making a banner, which will hopefully inspire writers to do a fic for it. These will be open for adoption, and the best will be voted on and win an award, which spikeshunny will make!

We now have 50 members at the fuffy_spike, for when the lighter side strikes. So we have issued another challenge. Two challenges in the same month, can we handle it? Well we will see, hopefully with our hands tried behind our back.

Come and check out the community if you havent already joined. All pairings accepted, whatever your OTP is we will love to read, look at your work. The first challenge was "Valentine", and now "Find your lover". They both run for a month. The only requirement is it has to feature Spike.

We do have a sister site a_fluffy_angel, for the lighter side of Angel, where everything has to be Angel-centric. We are very friendly and would be happy to welcome everyone.

Things are really hotting up. So far from the poll, we will be called "fluffy_spike" have First Kiss as the first challenge and challenges will last a month. spikeshunny has agreed to do banners for challenges, so we will announce winners. One winner and one runner-up in manips and one winner and one runner-up in fic. I hope we get enough interest to do that. spikeshunny has also agreed to help me by being a moderator. I think she deserves a round of applause, without all this effort the community would have been a none-starter. {{Hugs}}

Remember it is het and slash, all ratings and pairings. If you want to het Spike up with Tara or Fred, go right ahead, or slash him up with Gunn or Ethan. If manips and fic is not work or child friendly it would have to be indicated. I don't want to make it all under a cetain rating. Feel free to do whatever the muse wants you to do.

I will put all this in user info, but I have people on my flist who have been down this road. I know fic should be under lj cuts, and manips banners and icons should also. They should also have warning of anything of an adult nature. Any communities recommended for the layout, best user info. I was considering adapting some of the user info from other communities that I am a member of. In interests I will have the pairings Manipulations icons banners fic, Spike (of course). I just worry the user info and interests list maybe a bit long. Covering all bases, but not 10 pages worth.

Ok that is my worries for today. I promise this will happen this week or next.

I am interested in knowing if anyone would be interested in starting a "Fluffy Spike" community? I have seen a few people asking for rec's to fluffy stories, and wonder if their is any merit in having somewhere to post these type of stories in a community.

It would house the fluffy side of the character, any pairings stories or manipulations. If the romantic fluffy muse strikes then this would be the place to display your creativity in that direction. There were quite a few communities stated for the darker side of the BtVS and AtS characters, but this would be for the softer side.

If you think this idea has some candidates to join and either write fic or do manips, icons banners, or read/look at fluffy images. I would like something like that and am willing to spend some time on it, but I would need help with it. I can't do manips, banners or icons, so if anyone would be interested in these fields then if you had time and wanted to help, that would be great.

Depending on how things go I may pay for two months of time for the community so that we can play with components and make thing easier for posting. Any advice or help would be appreciated, and if you know of anyone else who may be interested could you ask them to let me know.

All pairings would be accepted, het or slash. I am thinking at present of Spike as the main character as that is the fic and manip's I usually look at. If you think is should be any character pairings, and open it up more, I will listen. I only concern is that I may not be interested in anything Spike is not in.

Ok that is my fluffy sweet post. Fic can be drabbles to epics, whatever you want. Manips can be anything you want as well but should be sweet and romantic. I may take a couple of leaves out of darker_spike's book and issue challenges and have an open day.
