Is it not about time the Buffy!Verse knows that to keep the fandom alive, we need to band together. Not fight against each other. None of this, I you include this character I will spork out my eyes....do spork out your eyes, you are not a fan. You are making to many demands on the creative jucies of the writers and artists who are keeping the fandom alive.

Also the Comics, are they canon. Yes they are. I might not like what is written, but then I didn't always like what was written for TV either. Joss is back in charge, that is what makes it canon. Joss was always challengeing....the quote "he doesn't give you what you want, but what you need", still is true for him. He knows what keeps his fandom alive, and does it. Everyone fighting with each other.

The shipper wars? Forget it, Joss will never give you resolution, not as long as he has stories to tell. Buffy will never get a happy ending, read fanfic.

So in other words, let it go! No-one cares about the fans opinions, except to do the opposite, and get more controversy, and people talking.

Aw... *hugs*

People argue. Fans especially! It is their default position. (I was going to link you to a wank from the 1930's, but it appears to have vanished. But it was very funny! Might look it up later when I have some time...)

Anyway, just to prove my point:

Also the Comics, are they canon. Yes they are.
No they aren't. The show was more than Joss, and unless it's on screen, with all the actors etc, then it's not canon. Just like the movie can't be canon, even if Joss suddenly changed his mind. And it's not about liking or disliking... my problems with s8 are too many to count (although if you follow the 's8' tag on my LJ, you'll see that I've tried! *g*), and my squee over ATF is such that I started a comm. But neither are canon.

*misses shows liek whoa*

I know, I guess they spend so much of their free time in the fandom, that they think it is THEIRS, but is isn't, it is the creators. Then I can see the point about the comics, no way can as many people be reading them as watched the shows. It just doesn't appeal to that many.

I do prefer the fanfic to what Joss is doing, but in many occasions even with the shows, especially Buffy, I did as well! I have to admit that I pulled out of Buffy a few times. Only season 7 pulled me back.

Will always love AtS more than BtVS.....sometimes the only thing worth watching in BtVS was JM!

agree with you that it's canon. It's certainly ignorable if that's your bent.

Joss will never give you resolution, not as long as he has stories to tell. Buffy will never get a happy ending, read fanfic.

Exactly! Plus he's not going to alienate half his fans by choosing S/B over B/A or vise versa.

I think it is canon as well, but just will not have the appeal of the TV shows.

No, the whole shipper debate (argument, and sometimes very silly as well), will never get resolved. So agree!

Oh you see i leave for a few months and all sorts of things happen... don't stress ladybug people are fickle that way in arguing.

The fandom is so big that shippers can supposedly live quietly in their corner or at least that is the theory.

Me i'm living in denial and assuming that everyone is a Spike shipper *wink*

I do try and think that everyone loves Spike, but then I bought the Season 8 BtVS comic and Dark Horse has anti-Spike stuff on the letters page. Just cannot get away from it!

How are you love? Hope you are feeling better, and things improve for you. Fandom wanks are just so silly really.

I hadn't realised that of course. Again? Doesn't improve my opinion of Scott Allie that he keeps choosing to publish this stuff.

I will not get it until next week. Still annoyed that the printed the previous letter. I really dislike dark horse, and wonder why I give them any money at all.

If Season 8 doesn't improve a lot, I don't think I will be giving them much more.

Oh I see! I thought you meant they'd printed yet another Spike-hating letter.

You don't mean that, do you? It is just the one (so far)?

Oh I will still be there for the next arc and stand alones. I was just going to give it five issues, but still going with it. Hoping it improves.

*Must phone comic book supplier, and get my copies and covers I want*

If it helps, Allie has printed a letter from a Spike fan in No 7 saying how much they like him and would like to see his unfinished business with Buffy sorted out.

You know how much I love Spike and Angel... but I will never understand people fighting over fictional characters.

Ok, maybe Spike and Angel gave us a bad example with the cavemen vs astronauts fight ;)

I know, it all seems so petty and silly. The are after all fictional characters. And it is not effecting the careers of the actors, who are getting so much work. Don't know why I let it get to me!

I stopped reading forums and boards, because of that crap...I try to live my life in the fandom and let the others alone...everybody have their own fave...why should I argue with them why and how?

I never thought that Joss wiould do that what the fans wants...even if I dreamed about that...*lol*

I hope you understand my drivel...! *huggles*

I know! Sometimes cannot avoid it tho'. Even when you try.

Seems the anti Spike ones are the most vocal, and always into a rant. They have their own agenda.
