Buses

Seems projects from Joss are like buses. Nothing except vague rummors for years, then three at one time!

First was the Season 8 of Buffy, then Angel: After the Fall, and now a new television series.

Joss Whedon has created a new television show called "Dollhouse." It is starring Eliza Dushku, and FOX has already ordered seven episodes.

For more information... details here

I guess the success of the comics must've lifted his profile a lot. Well, it is great that he is back in business. Hope it goes well. Will wait and see myself.

*Sigh*

Is it not about time the Buffy!Verse knows that to keep the fandom alive, we need to band together. Not fight against each other. None of this, I you include this character I will spork out my eyes....do spork out your eyes, you are not a fan. You are making to many demands on the creative jucies of the writers and artists who are keeping the fandom alive.

Also the Comics, are they canon. Yes they are. I might not like what is written, but then I didn't always like what was written for TV either. Joss is back in charge, that is what makes it canon. Joss was always challengeing....the quote "he doesn't give you what you want, but what you need", still is true for him. He knows what keeps his fandom alive, and does it. Everyone fighting with each other.

The shipper wars? Forget it, Joss will never give you resolution, not as long as he has stories to tell. Buffy will never get a happy ending, read fanfic.

So in other words, let it go! No-one cares about the fans opinions, except to do the opposite, and get more controversy, and people talking.

I really do think, to be fair to Joss, before I rant about Season 8, I should make myself clear about Joss and comic writing.

I have enjoyed a few Joss penned comics, Fray, Tales of The Slayers and Tales of The Vampires. I know that Tales of the Slayers, and Tales of The Vampires are an ensemble pieces, but they had some great stories.

I didn't enjoy "Those Left Behind", but have had real problems getting into Firefly. I have never been a fan of X-Men, so haven't read them, or any others by Joss, only the Buffy!Verse ones. But I Did Enjoy Them!

Which is why I am even more annoyed that I am not enjoying the Buffy Season Eight Series. I went into it fully expecting to love it. Hence the expectations of a rant, and my real expectaions that I will not be there for the end (50 issues, yuck).

So how does everyone else feel about Joss and Comics?
