David And I Watching Doctor Who Confidential

David was over, and we watched the Doctor Who Confidential. So yes I found out who was playing the #11th Doctor at the same time as the rest of the UK


Matt Smith.....never heard of him. Clips of series he has been in, neither of us had ever watched any of them. All a bit young for us. Have no opinion of him as an actor.

Looks far too young to play a 900 year old Time Lord.

Me worried about the possiblities of shippiness. Mourns the loss of Asexual Doctor as he is sure to have "encounters"

David convinced he is gay. I say Jack will love that.

Pretty much as far as we got!


Didn't watch the new ITV series "Demons". Had heard what it was about, and David insisted on reading out the blurb from MY Radio Times to me. The teenage male....whatever. So no idea about that. But honestly don't think I missed anything

Watched Two episodes of Supernatural instead. David up to Nightmares now.

To be fair he's only a couple of years or so younger than Peter Davison was when he took on the TARDIS. He may turn out OK - he looks fairly quirky at least.

Ummmm! He just looks young. Peter Davidson had a certain maturity about him, even at that young age!

I saw a youtube of Matt Smith. He seems very young. According to what I read online, Matt is the youngest Dr so far. I'll give him a chance, but it will be be odd.

My friend got the first three seasons of Supernatural for Christmas. We will start watching them this week.

Yes, and looked even younger than his age as well. Going to be strange!

I hope you enjoy Supernatural, I really do. I watch it, but at different stages, with David and Ronnie. They both enjoy it.

I'm going to keep watching the show....I fell for the character of the Doctor, not the actor who plays him...

I've never heard of this guy Matt Smith, so I can't make a comment about him.

I only watched DW because of Torchwood...so maybe that's why I feel the way I do....

I started watching Doctor Who in the 60's, so been through a few actors playing the part. The character it what is important not the actor.

I've seen no Who but NewWho, and David Tennant is my Doctor.
The new guy is funny lookin'.
I don't want to like him.....yet.

I come from Classic Who, started watching in the 60's. So been through a few actors. With Who, the Character has always been bigger than the actor.

Do you know what, I'm pretty sure this is why I have reservations too. Don't get me wrong I love banter, tension and UST, even smut. But I'd hate to see what DW is get lost within that.
