I started buying comics again when IDW started giving Spike some time and his own. So a little out in modern comic books myself. They just don't seem like they did in the show. Yes there should be some character developement, but they have just popped up, acting out of character for no good reason. Which I think is bad writing!

It is subjective. My issue with it has been that it seems to change from issue to issue. Just when I've figured out who everybody is, it seems like they make some changes and all of a sudden I can't tell Buffy from any other blonde girl. Thank god for Xander's eye patch! LOL Sam thing, to some extent with Angel and Spike's comics. I can tell who Spike is, but the people around him...not so much.
