For all of you daunted, or fightened, of the Scottish telling of Haggis, a recipe. If you have ever ate it, then you will know it is quite tasty, and spicy. Really, not that horrible as it sounds. The recipe is here

Yes, I know more suet. But it does keep the slow cooking recipies moist!

My half sister Lorraine loves to tell everyone about the clootie dumplings you used to get in butchers in Scotland, sliced and fried as part of a breakfast. She will go into details of it. Sweet, with raisins, and spicy, shallow fired and ate with a traditional Scottish Breakfast. She loved them, but as she is in England, they all looked quite shocked at this sweet addition to breakfast, especially fired (her husband did qualify to attend the Olympics in the 80's as a cyclist, and is very health concious).

I hate to tell her, but even here in Scotland we cannot get clootie dumplings any more. Hell we hardly have any butchers shops any more, as the supermarkets have taken over, but in case anyone wants to know about this Scottish recipe, there is a link to one here and really if you feel the need to make own, I am sure you will love it. Just don't forget to try it shallow fired the next day for a full breakfast!

Ok, so it is Stove Tuesday, and my favourite type of Pancake, Drop Pancakes. They are a little thicker than the usual ones, and very quick. Remember, I am older, so traditional measurements. They work for me.
